Inspired by the Rolling Stones’ song, “Dandelions,” this innovative collage of “wish upon once upon” dandelions is accented with glow-in-the-dark paint. Various flower seeds add texture. Clusters of “wish upons” are made from tiny, clear, recycled holiday tree lights, assembled with wire and apoxy. The completed collage combines paper, paint, apoxies, seeds and glass, and is sealed with a clear finish.

Shepard’s bison creation was part of Western New York’s successful “Herd About Buffalo” public art project. Her work also has been featured at the Allentown Art Festival and in Gifts From Hands.
