WNED’s Art Director for nearly 24 years, Hammer creates a celebration of public broadcasting with her guitar. Colorful images depict a wide variety of popular programs offered by PBS (some of which were produced by WNED) for the public’s viewing enjoyment.

The images were created in PhotoShop, then decoupaged onto the instrument.

In choosing which shows to present, Hammer sought to represent all genres-children’s shows, musical productions, historical, science and “how-to”­ programs. Through this work, therefore, she hopes to promote WNED’s diverse mission to “enlighten, inspire, entertain and educate” viewers in the communities it serves.
