A guitar begins to emerge from an amorphous block of raw material and an artist’s imagination. Obviously depicting a work in progress, this piece also is a metaphor for the work that remains to be done for Hunter’s Hope. This organization, a Guitars for Hope beneficiary, supports research, new therapies and a cure for the fatal nervous system disease, Krabbe Leukodystrophy.
Dee is a senior producer/editor for WNED. This is his third Western New York public art project. He previously created “Buffalo Snow Globe” for Herd About Buffalo and “One Tired Horse” for Art on Wheels.
