Inspired by Buffalo’s National Hockey League team, this nationally recognized designer directs creative services for the Buffalo Sabres.
Painted Sabres’ “Blue and Gold,” his guitar’s tuning pegs are hockey pucks, its strings are skate laces, and the bridge is a skate blade. The white-and-gold pinstriped design also incorporates 11 gold hockey sticks and crests from the vintage Sabres’ jersey. Head Coach Lindy Ruff and all 2005-2006 team members added their signatures.
Cravotta was previously an Addy award-winning exhibit designer in Baltimore, Maryland. He is currently designing a custom-built motorcycle, the “Sabrebike,” and working with the Reebok Corporation to redesign the Sabres’ logo and uniform.
His degree in industrial design is from Syracuse University.
