How big are the guitars?
Each guitar is 6 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds. In some instances artist's reworked the shape and weight of the guitar to accommodate his or her design.

How can I purchase a guitar?
Everyone in the world will have the opportunity to purchase a guitar by participating
in the auction. To bid on a guitar, click

If you would like to pre-purchase a guitar -and be assured that you become its owner - you can do so by becoming a Sponsor/Owner of Hope. A regional artist's guitar is $2500 and celebrity and premier guitars are $5000. To purchase a guitar in advance, please contact Wendy Diina Ceppaglia at 716-845-7000, x371.

Who is painting the guitars?
Regional artists submitted their design proposals throughout the summer and fall, 2005. Our Art Selection Committee selected the designs of the artists participating. Click here for artists.
In addition to our regional artists, there are many celebrities who have joined the band by agreeing to design a guitar. The line-up of celebrities include rock band Bon Jovi, country music singer Lee Ann Womack, Tim Russert, the casts of both hit TV shows “Las Vegas” and “King of Queens”, JoAnn Falletta and the Buffalo Philharmonic, Buffalo’s own Goo Goo Dolls and Mark Steines, host of Entertainment Tonight.
